becuz my cousins finally i had somebody to go there with me.
i heard about the place even before my first arrive in london.
for a britpop fan like me, that is the place i have to go before i leave the country.
just like i waited for 6 months to go to my first gig, feb 1st is the first time i step in dublin castle.
it’s a fairly small place with a bar, few tables and chairs then pass through a door the stage is right in front of me.
we arrived around 7pm but the performance didnt start until 8 something.
the first guy plays acoustic guitar, he was very nervous and i guess he just plays music for fun. to be honest, i wasnt very impressive.
then, from nowhere there is a voice says, it’s time for judges’ opinion.
slowly, a guy sits next to me stands up and walk toward the mic.
i was like !!! what i sit next to a judge plus he is quite cute XD.
then i realized, oh there is a competition tonight!
i got the courage from nowhere suddenly i decided to talk to the cute judge.
i asked him about the competition then he told me this event is actually for a local charity, sort of a fund raising night.
for people who are interested in this part, there is no afterward expect once again i confirmed that even his voice is also very nice.
there were 5 gropes of performer that night apart from the first guy plays as solo the rest of them are as a band.
i have to say they are all quite entertaining.
although in the end the band that i like the most didnt win the title, i still had a very nice time!
it feels so odd that it was actually the first time i went there but i didnt have an uneasy feeling i used to have when i first step into a new place.
i will put the rest of the bands playing that day below and their myspace if possible.
but now i want to tell you another unbelievable thing that also happened on the same day.
when we all feel contained and ready to head back, i looked out the window of the bar.
jesus! it was snowing!!! even though i havent lived in england for long, it’s long enough for me to know that it’s not usual to snow here.
then we walked out of the bar, the snow already covered the roads, cars and houses. after a 3 hrs happy time, all in front of us was a white world!
we were cold but very excited while we walked to camden tube station.and of course we made few picture stops. then we were still exciting when you were
back to shepherds bush station despite the snow was getting heavier.
the people of london were very excited about the snow so they decided to have a snow fight.
of course i were involved which makes the normal 20 mins walk took about 40mins.
at first, it were just snow balls then they became bigger and some people even attacked us from first floor.
the snow fight was getting hush, we forced to take cover in bus stop or cars on the roadside.
there are quite a big muslin community in shepherds bush for a moment, i feel like i am in gaza strip!
the unexpected snow brought us especially my cousins a lot of fun until the next morning we found out that almost ALL the public transportations were suspend.
well, that’s another story.
bands plalyed that night
dead roads: a bit rock'n'roll for me
woo! worths: my favorite of that night
van daniels: winners!
the jude: the most good-looking band, well their music is cool too
