10 years is quite a long time for any musican or band.

but once you listen to their music, the reason reveals itself and it's not a seret at all.

in the website post, it mentioned that this ablum changed the band members life in terms of career drastically.

the album stays on the top of chart in iceland for 2 year and sold over 7 million copies worldwide!!!

sigur ros became a "phenomenon" yet the band members themself only told the world that:

"we do not intend to become superstars or millionaires. we are simply gonna change music forever, and the way people think about music."

indeed, in more than one interviews they told the journalists that they still live in iceland and go to markets as usual.
