what if one day when you wake up in the morning then you find out the 9-5 job (or even 9-11)  you did was merely for surviving,

would you have the guts to give it up for a REAL LIFE? would you?

this is a story about a new yorker jumped from one reality to another.

he spent $20,000 and 11 months to travel in 26 countries.

as a solo traveler, he carried 5 pounds clothes and 25 pounds recording equipment to document his map for saturday.

(that's actually a very smart act cuz as a tv producer it's very likely that he can sell his work back to his pervious employer.)

he also kept a blog while he was traveling.  and he is on his africa trip now.

if you ever travel alone, then i can tell you that those topics that you expected is all covered.

but due to the time limited i wouldnt say that this film provides a comprehensive point of view.

yet, it gives you a chance to start thinking about it.

and perhaps no one can provide a better horizon than yourself.

after all, from my prospect, traveling alone sometimes is a journey to know yourself.

i see myself as a traveler too although i havent try a long term solo travel like he did.

but i can totally understand what he mentioned about a sense of detachment once he was home.

you wonder after endless saturdays would you be able to back to weekdays?

would you be able to fit in your hometown and the same circle of friends who make you feel you never left?

everything is so close so reachable close yet you feel distanced.

but a healthy traveler should be able to adapt him/herself whether s/he is on the way or not.

i guess that's what you learned along your trip apart from being open-minded.

because all the rules and responsibilities cant perfectly define you.

fundamentally, it all depends on you!

i see myself a traveler and an airport sleeper too.

here is a very useful website about sleep in airports.

http://www.sleepinginairports.net/tips.htm

i slept in the airport in london, pisa, milan, hong kong and really want to try more!
